Mountain Dew Launches Turbo-Powered Ad Targeting Sleep-Deprived Parents

title..

Mountain Dew has teamed up once again with Entropico’s comedic directors Paxi and Cem, alongside VaynerMedia, to unveil a wild new campaign that’s sure to resonate with exhausted millennial parents everywhere. Their latest spot, a high-energy parody infomercial, introduces the brand’s latest innovation: Mountain Dew Berry Spark — a vibrant pick-me-up designed for those living on little sleep and maximum chaos.

Starring actor Danny Kim as an overwhelmed father stuck in a loop of endless cleaning and existential crises, the ad flips the narrative of parental fatigue into an over-the-top celebration of turbo-charged parenting. With 48% of millennial parents actively seeking adventurous experiences for their families, the campaign taps into a generation eager to redefine traditional parenting roles.

“Millennial parents aren’t just raising Gen Alpha, they’re desperately trying to keep up with them,” explained Rachel Siu, brand manager at Mountain Dew. “Berry Spark is our tongue-in-cheek response to that chaos — a high-energy boost for parents pushing themselves to the limit every day.”

Lehi Curtis and Charlotte Meldrum-Hanna, senior creatives at VaynerMedia, echoed that sentiment. “This wasn’t about politely addressing parents; it was about joining their collective scream into the void. Berry Spark is a comedic love letter to shared exhaustion — a turbo-mercial born from endless podcast-length sleep sessions and the nostalgic glow of late-night infomercials.”

The campaign’s humor and energy were brought to life by Paxi and Cem, known for their work on Intuit Quickbook’s “Re-review” campaign. “We’ve always been fans of those OTT infomercials,” said Paxi. “Vayner and Mountain Dew let us lean into the wildness, and Danny Kim was game for everything — even leaping around in front of a green screen. A great shoot overall — 9.4/10!”

The final product is an unexpectedly hilarious, rewatchable spot that leans into Mountain Dew’s signature style and internet-savvy humor, perfectly capturing the playful chaos of modern parenting. Kyle Blanshard, executive producer at Entropico, summed it up: “It’s always special when everyone is aligned on the vision. Paxi and Cem brought that vision to life with a truly unique energy.”

Mountain Dew’s campaign is now running across TikTok and Meta, with a series of follow-up infomercial-style spots set to roll out in the coming weeks. So, for any parents out there teetering on the edge of burnout — Berry Spark is here to help you Do the Dew, turbo style.
