Cities and united local governments of Africa: The Executive Committee examines in Rabat the preparations for the eighth "Africités" Summit which will take place in Brazzaville: "After holding its extraordinary general assembly in Marrakech last November, the Executive Committee of Cities and Local Governments of Africa (UCLG) held its 16th session in Rabat on May 29 and 30. This meeting is an opportunity to discuss the partnerships reached and to prepare the eighth "Africités" Summit which will take place in Brazzaville in 2018."
Mediation in insurance: The rejection of the guarantee at the top of the claims: "For its first year of operation, the insurance mediator received 94 requests for resolution of disputes, including 32 eligible. In addition, there are about 20 eligible files open in the first quarter of 2017."

Al Hoceima: Arrest of Nasser Zefzafi for obstructing freedom of worship: "The Attorney General of the King at the Al Hoceima Court of Appeal announced on Monday the arrest of Nasser Zefzafi for obstructing freedom of worship, and following the statement issued on May 26, 2017, concerning the order of arrest. In a statement, the Attorney General of the King states that the person concerned was arrested together with other individuals who were handed over to the National Brigade of the Judicial Police (BNPJ) in Casablanca to investigate with the first defendant the facts alleged against him, and with all accused persons on alleged acts concerning the interference with the internal security of the State and other acts constituting crimes under the law."
Infantino and Zidane in Morocco for AG of CAF: "On next July 18 and 19, Morocco will organize study days dedicated to African football. More than 400 football's world personalities will be present, such as the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino; the head of the CAF, Ahmad Ahmad; the coach of Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane; as well as other sports figures. After this event, Morocco will host the 56 member associations of CAF to attend the general assembly of the African body on July 20 and 21. In response to their request, Aziz Rabbah, the Minister of Energy, Mines, and Sustainable Development, has just published a circular which extends the deadline for receipt of compliance files, existing mining titles, by three months, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 33-13 on mines and its implementing texts."
No business without competition: "From 2009 to 2013, the Competition Council issued 45 opinions and decisions. In particular, the demands of economic operators increase from year to year. The regulator does not have any members since October 2013! Since then, some 50 requests for anticompetitive practices are still pending. There are also about a dozen mergers notified by multinationals. The critical situation that the Competition Council has been experiencing for almost four years has had disturbing and regrettable consequences. Delay in the application of the 2014 reform, business deadlock and an embarrassing legal problem."

Organizational report concerning the candidatures for the presidency of the National Council and the status of member of the Political Office: "Following the results of the Xth National Congress and the organizational report adopted, the First Secretary announces to all the members of the National Council the opening of candidatures for the presidency of the National Council on the one hand, and the status of member of the Political Office on the other hand, starting from Tuesday, May 30, to Sunday, June 4, 2017. From 10 am to 4 pm, a permanent office will be available from the head office of the party's headquarters for the reception of candidatures."

Agri-food: What Morocco exported in the first quarter: "Agricultural and agri-food exports increased in the first quarter of the year. The shipments amounted to 15.25 billion Dirhams, an increase of 4.2%. They thereby consolidated by 616 million Dirhams compared to the same period last year. The food industry totaled exports of 7.46 billion Dirhams in the first quarter against 6.98 billion Dirhams a year earlier."
Casablanca Urban Agency: The increasing demands for projects: "The number of files related to small projects increased dramatically in May. This is what emerges from the figures recently published by the Casablanca Urban Agency (AUC). Indeed, no fewer than 669 files for small projects were filed with the agency against 408 files filed in May of the previous year. This dynamic is also noticed for large projects. As a result, 302 files related to major projects were registered with the agency."
