The 25th Regional Assembly-Africa of the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophony: Morocco pleads for African legislative institutions capable of defending the interests of the continent and to accompany its growth dynamic: "The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, has called for stronger involvement of African parliaments in the socio-economic dynamics that the continent experiences. Speaking at the opening of the 25th edition of the Africa Regional Assembly, within the framework of the Parliamentary Assembly of Francophony, El Malki said that the African legislative institutions must accompany and support the emergence of the continent."

WEF report: Morocco, the eighth most competitive Arab country: "Morocco is defending itself well on the scale of the Arab world in terms of competitiveness. It is even the champion in North Africa. This is what emerges from a new report by the World Economic Forum (WEF) entitled "The New Economic Context for the Arab World." The Kingdom is, in fact, ranked eighth in the Arab region, behind the Gulf countries, Jordan, and the Sultanate of Oman, but ahead of Algeria, Tunisia, and Egypt. This confirms it as the leader of North Africa. In fact, in this region, "Morocco (49th globally) leads at all levels," note the authors of the report."

L'ECONOMISTE:
Finance Bill: Article 8 bis, the threat: "During the discussion of the Finance Bill in the First Chamber, the Government introduced a provision "Article 8 bis". A measure which grants the State and local and regional authorities the possibility, in case of final judgment for the benefit of a third party, to pay the allowances due according to the availability of credits within 60 days. In the case where the funds would be insufficient, the regulator may budget the balance in one or more financial years. But what provokes the general outcry is that it will be impossible to seize the public and local authorities as a guarantee of payment."

Decline in budget deficit: Significant improvement of the budget deficit at the end of April: "8.1 billion Dirhams against 20.6 billion in the same period last year. But the bet of a return to a 3% deficit level like this is expected for the 2017 Finance Bill, and it is not won. We will have to wait for the economy to evolve and the government's ability to control the expenses."

AL BAYANE:

Long folded on itself, this sumptuous palace, property of the Prince Moulay Ali before, was bought by France to become the residence of its generals and then its consular seat came out of its isolation 3 years ago by offering part of its luxurious garden to the town hall of Marrakech. This gave the area an even more pleasant appearance in terms of green space."
