Washington: His Majesty the King receives the Visionary Energy Efficiency Award: "His Majesty the King Mohammed VI reiterated in the Royal Message of acceptance of the Visionary Award in Energy Efficiency attributed to the Sovereign in Washington on Monday, "Our continued commitment at the national, regional, and continental levels to make every effort to promote a climate of sustainable development of energy efficiency, renewable energies, technological innovation, and green occupations in general." In this message, whose reading was given by the Ambassador of the Kingdom to the United States, Lalla Joumala Alaoui, in front of the World Forum on Energy Efficiency, His Majesty the King pointed out that energy efficiency today, together with renewable energies, is a new revolution in the energy sector due to technological change which ensures a correlation between these two components, stressing that they should be integrated and taken into consideration in investment decisions and technological choices in all key energy-intensive sectors, including industry, construction, transport, street lighting, and agriculture."
