BCP Group Finalizes the Acquisition of Bia-Niger: "To strengthen its international development strategy, the Moroccan group Banque Centrale Populaire (BCP) has just announced the finalization of the takeover of the International Bank for Africa in Niger (BIA-Niger), the country's second largest banking institution. Already present through Banque Atlantique Niger, this new acquisition allows the Moroccan to become the first banking group of the West African country. The transaction realized through its subsidiary Atlantic Business International (ABI) allows BCP to hold 69.51pc of the capital and voting rights of BIA-Niger. According to the group, all jobs and social benefits will be maintained."
