ONSSA: 154 Tons of Improper Products Seized in 20 Days: ""A total of 154 tons (T) of non-compliant and unfit consumer food products was seized and destroyed during the first 20 days of the month of Ramadan," announced the National Office of Sanitary Safety of Food Products (ONSSA). "The control actions carried out either in the provincial mixed commission or by ONSSA services alone involved 54,600 tons (T) of food products of animal and vegetable origin and resulted in the withdrawal of 154 T of unfit products from the marketing channel, i.e. 0.3% of the total controlled," the ONSSA said in a statement."
