Following this vote, the House of Representatives confers its confidence to the new government, pursuant to Article 88 which states: "The government is invested after obtaining the confidence of the House of Representatives, expressed through the voting of an absolute majority of the members of the said House, in favor of the government's program." The government thereby meets the constitutional conditions to begin exercising its prerogatives and to assume responsibility for its actions in front of the Parliament."
