Beavertown takes Bank Holiday celebrations to the skies with hot air balloon pub

title..

This August Bank Holiday, Beavertown is taking leisure time to new heights—literally. The London-based brewery has unveiled The Beavertown Skulloon Tavern, the UK’s first hot air balloon pub, offering winners a once-in-a-lifetime chance to enjoy a pint among the clouds.

Research commissioned by Beavertown reveals that two-thirds (67%) of UK adults fall into the same pattern every Bank Holiday weekend, with familiar activities such as family barbecues (56%), gardening (38%), or hitting the gym (32%). Almost half (46%) say they wish they were more spontaneous, and over half (51%) admit they’d like their lives to be less predictable.

As part of its Stick Your Neck Out campaign, Beavertown is encouraging people to break away from their comfort zones. Inspired by the illustrated skull-shaped hot air balloon featured on its popular Neck Oil cans, the Skulloon Tavern will take flight on Saturday, August 23, carrying its first—and only—guests for an unforgettable pub visit above the British countryside.

Floating 2,000 feet in the air, the Skulloon Tavern offers everything you’d expect from a traditional pub—cold Neck Oil beers, classic bar snacks, a bespoke pub sign, and even its own carpet—paired with panoramic views.

“We are a nation of people holding ourselves back,” says Tom Rainsford, Beavertown’s marketing director. “But life gets more interesting when you stick your neck out and embrace spontaneity. Why settle for ground-level plans when you can take things to a whole new height?”

Over-18s can apply via Beavertown’s website for the chance to trade their usual long weekend routine for a pint in the clouds.
