LEGO Brings Football Fever Home With Life-Size FIFA World Cup Trophy Set

title..

The LEGO Group is entering the world of football in spectacular fashion. In a landmark collaboration with the FIFA World Cup 2026™, the company has announced the launch of the first official 1:1 LEGO replica of the FIFA World Cup Trophy, offering fans a unique way to celebrate the planet’s biggest sporting event ahead of next summer.

Set to launch in March 2026, the life-size model recreates football’s most coveted prize with remarkable precision. Built from 2,842 LEGO pieces, the golden trophy includes a pull-open section revealing a hidden interior scene: the official 2026 tournament logo and an exclusive minifigure holding a miniature World Cup trophy. A printed plaque on the base details every winning nation since 1974, adding a historical touch to the collectible.

For the first time in LEGO history, the set incorporates a large number of gold-coloured bricks, using both drum-lacquered and moulded elements to achieve a striking metallic finish. Fans can already pre-order the set on LEGO’s official website.

Julia Goldin, chief product and marketing officer at the LEGO Group, described the collaboration as a natural meeting point between creativity and global passion. “The FIFA World Cup Trophy is a universal symbol of unity and achievement,” she said. “Through the creativity of the LEGO brick, fans can now experience that excitement piece by piece. This is only the beginning of our partnership with FIFA, and we’re thrilled to bring families and fans together in a new way.”

FIFA chief business officer Romy Gai echoed that enthusiasm, calling the project “groundbreaking” and perfectly timed ahead of what FIFA describes as the most inclusive World Cup to date. “This collaboration gives fans the chance to bring home their own version of the sport’s most prestigious trophy,” he said. “It’s a celebration of imagination and the global spirit of the game.”

Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos, who lifted the real trophy in 2002, praised the initiative for capturing the emotional power of football. “Winning the World Cup was one of the greatest moments of my life,” he said. “Now fans can recreate that magic at home. This set isn’t just about building a trophy—it’s about sharing the love of football with family and friends.”

Looking ahead to 2026, the LEGO Group plans to expand the collaboration with new products, events, and interactive experiences across FIFA Fan Festivals and other tournament platforms. The launch also marks a key milestone for LEGO Editions, a new line of collectible sets designed to connect young people with the icons and passions that inspire them.

As the countdown to the FIFA World Cup 2026™ intensifies, LEGO is giving fans of all ages a chance to celebrate football’s greatest stage—brick by brick.
