For 15 years, the Nissan Heisman House has been a staple of the college football season — a place where legends of the game come together for laughs, rivalries, and plenty of hijinks. But in 2025, fans will see a major shake-up: the doors of the Heisman House are closing for the season following a “long-overdue city inspection,” sending its iconic residents on a cross-country road trip powered by Nissan’s award-winning new vehicle lineup.
The campaign, created by TBWA\Chiat\Day, reimagines the Heisman tradition with a storyline that puts Nissan’s vehicles front and center. From the rugged Nissan Frontier PRO-4X with a 7,150-pound towing capacity to the Pathfinder Rock Creek with its V-6 engine, the Rogue Rock Creek ranked #1 by MotorTrend, and the all-electric 2026 Nissan LEAF — the most affordable EV on the US market — the spots highlight a brand built for the open road. Nissan was recently named #1 in New Vehicle Quality among Mass-Market brands in the J.D. Power 2025 US Initial Quality Study, adding credibility to the campaign’s promise of quality and reliability.
“This season, we’re shifting from the porch to the highway,” said Allyson Witherspoon, chief marketing officer at Nissan US. “The Heisman House has always been about legendary personalities, and now we’re bringing that energy to an unforgettable road trip with our most exciting lineup to date.”
The 2025 campaign also introduces a fresh face: Travis Hunter, the NFL’s #2 overall draft pick, joins a star-studded cast of Heisman legends including Jayden Daniels, Barry Sanders, Baker Mayfield, Eddie George, Tim Tebow, Robert Griffin III (RGIII), and Gino Torretta. The journey, filmed across highways and campgrounds, even crosses into the fictional world of “Fansville,” offering a playful crossover for college football fans.
Five commercials will roll out beginning August 28, airing throughout the season on ESPN and across major networks including ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX. Among them, Launch Inspector follows Hunter’s abrupt eviction from the Heisman House, while State Line sees Eddie George, Tim Tebow, and Gino Torretta navigating rival territories in the Nissan Rogue.
Though the address has changed, the essence of the Heisman House remains intact — celebrating the legends who shaped the game, the fans who keep its spirit alive, and the vehicles that drive Nissan forward.
