Popeyes UK has made a strategic move to support its rapid growth by appointing Jo Vaughton as its new Chief Marketing Officer. She will officially join the company in June, bringing over two decades of marketing and brand development experience to the role.
Vaughton has held senior marketing positions at leading hospitality and food brands including Pizza Express, InterContinental Hotels Group, and Celebrity Cruises. Her appointment comes at a key moment for the fast food chain, which recently announced plans to double its UK footprint.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Popeyes UK at such a pivotal time for the business,” said Vaughton. “Popeyes is a fantastic brand that’s loved globally, and I’m excited to support the team as the company continues its ambitious growth.”
As part of its expansion strategy, Popeyes UK has also entered a partnership with SPP Group to open new restaurants in major UK travel hubs, including Birmingham International Airport.
Tom Crowley, CEO of Popeyes UK, expressed his confidence in the new hire: “We’re delighted to welcome Jo in this newly created role. Her vast experience with major hospitality brands will be invaluable as we accelerate our growth and reach more customers across the country.”
With Vaughton at the marketing helm, Popeyes UK aims to strengthen its brand presence and scale up its operations while maintaining the global appeal that has made it a favorite among fast food fans.
